Introducing Naomi O’Taylor

Introducing Naomi O’Taylor

Naomi is a German-Irish actress who has acted in film and television projects as well as on stage in German and English-language productions.

Born in Ireland, Naomi moved to Germany at the age of 3 and has lived in Hamburg since 1992, with a 3-year stint back in Ireland from 2006 to 2009.

She started acting at the age of 28 and made her English-language stage debut in a production of Jane Austen’s Persuasion in 2017. In 2018 she won the Best Acting Award for her performance as Bella Manningham in the stage adaption of psychological thriller Gaslight.

She has attended drama school at the Schule für Schauspiel Hamburg and, during the pandemic, took part in several online courses doing Meisner-Training at the William Esper Studio New York.

We are delighted that she has the time in her now very busy acting career to play the role of Effie for Couch Theatre’s Hamburg Premiere Iphigenia in Splott by Gary Owen!

By the way, head over to our Couch Theatre YouTube channel to watch Naomi reading poetry in German and English as part of our Couchcast series.
