Feats Virtual Fringe Festival 2021
The Hamburg Players and The University Players will both be taking part in the FEATS Virtual Fringe Festival 2021 this weekend. I’ve acted in and directed plays for both groups.
I am very happy to announce that the lovely Steven Montero, who was in Couch Theatre’s staged reading of Further Than The Furthest Thing by Zinnie Harris, will be acting in the University Players’ contribution ‘Confab’ on Saturday, 15th May.
And I will be playing the part of Paul in ‘Until Next Time’ by Julia Claussen, directed by Valerie Doyle, for the Hamburg Players on Sunday, 16th May. This Zoom play also stars actors and actresses that you will probably recognize from our Couch Theatre readings or Couchcasts e.g. Carol Kloevekorn, David Earl, Joanna Thorn, Jocasta Godlieb and Madeleine Lange.

News and Updates. Due to COVID-19 restrictions theatres are still closed in Hamburg, however, this doesn’t stop us planning future productions. Here are our updates:
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, theatres in Hamburg are closed. However, this doesn’t stop us planning future productions.
Currently we are working on bringing back DIE SOUVERÄNE LESERIN by Alan Bennett to Goldbekhaus, where we should have performed last year.
Then in September comes our new major project Iphigenia in Splott by Gary Owen. First produced by Sherman Theatre, Cardiff and then going on to the National Theatre in London, Iphigenia in Splott is based in Cardiff and is inspired by Greek mythology. Effie is the kind of girl you avoid eye contact with. Her life a mixture of drugs, alcohol and drama. This razor-sharp, tense, heartbreaking yet witty play is almost a call for revolt. Effie will be played by Naomi O’Taylor. Venue TBC. More details on this play soon.
