“I did not become a vegetarian for my health, I did it for the health of the chickens.”

‘”It’s great fun to play dreidel. But children must go to sleep.” That is what Grandmother Leah had said. They begged her to tell them a story first.’

And so begins our third story of the evening. A story told by Grandmother Leah about a father and his eight children playing a game of Dreidel one evening. Suddenly, there is at knock at the door. A uninvited guest! He has lost his way in the blizzard and asks whether he could stay until morning?

But who is this strange figure? What does he want? And why are the animals in the stable stirring?
