Cast in alphabetical order:
Jason Couch is from Wales. He has lived in Hamburg, Germany since 1991. He has been a member of the Hamburg Players since 1996 and has also performed in various University Players productions and even directed their 20th Anniversary production together with Rebecca Garron. He was also a member of Rover Rep Theater. Since 2018, he‘s been producing, directing and acting in his own Couch Theatre productions. He has won three Best Acting awards – in drama festivals in Frankfurt/Main, Antwerp and Luxembourg. He is also a Dylan Thomas fan, reading works by the Welsh national poet wherever he can. He was once a dialect coach for the Welsh language for Michael Bogdanov‘s production ‚Unter dem Milchwald (Under Milk Wood)‘ at the Altonaer Theater in Hamburg.
Camilo Daza Tapia was born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1980 and has been living in Germany since 2004. He started doing theatre in High School and when he moved to Hamburg in 2006 he joined the University Players and then subsequently the Hamburg Players, where he is still an active member.
During the pandemic, Camilo also took part in our Couchcasts (our online videos). Together with his wife, Jocasta Godlieb, he read ‚An Ovillejo‘ from Chapter 27 of Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes. He performed it in Spanish and English. You can still see them on our Youtube.com channel.
Dave Duke comes from Northern Ireland and has been living in Germany since 1983. He studied acting at the Bühnenstudio der darstellenden Künste run by Doris Kirchner. He has acted in the University Players, Rover Rep Theater, two Irish theatre groups and is currently an active member of The Hamburg Players.
Martin Scheibe has designed the sets and costumes for most Couch Theatre productions. Additionally, he has worked for various productions at the Rover Rep Theatre, Schauspielhaus in Hamburg and Cologne, Kampnagel, Sprechwerk Theatre, Hamburg Players, Hamburg Kammerspiele.
